G0̷ and FDMA

The Do-It-Yourself ethos is central to American identity, and with the advent of the Liberator a decade ago, a new era began. The focus of DIY quickly became about how much strength could you wrench out of the cheapest and most consumer-available manufacturing techniques. One such effort is the FMDA DD19.2 Revised 3D Printable Glock Frame which has been the standard approach for the production of ghost frames for quite some time. The G0̷ platform builds upon this groundwork and realizes some of the major goals of those previous projects:

• Longer lifespan
• Can handle more rounds in succession
• Perfectly aligned rails
• Easier to build
• Disperses recoil, reducing risk of cracking frames

We have taken multiple chassis in different grades of steel well past 2,000 rounds of shooting. In all cases so far, shooting has stopped due to lack of ammo, not any mechanical failure.

Our results demonstrate a vast improvement upon "FMDA" pistols, which have a demonstrated lifespan of approximately 1,000 rounds. Similarly, the G0̷'s performance under sustained fire (several hundred rounds without stopping) is notably greater than printed pistol designs. For these reasons, we believe the G0̷ is the strongest design on the market.

Form and function

Like most of the common printable frames the G0̷ is meant to be a standard template for people to explore what features and aesthetics they want in their personal firearms. Middleton Made and Thoughts & Prayers have both provided their own interpretations of the G0̷ for this launch and your application.

The standard grip module along with both frames are free to download on DEFCAD.

One Steel Block

The G0̷ chassis is milled from a steel block on the Ghost Gunner 3-S CNC Mill. Customers execute the milling operations by following simple, step-by-step instructions provided in the G0̷ Ghost Gunner cutcode. Once milled, the chassis is assembled with a standard G19 Gen3 lower parts kit, and may be installed into a G0̷ grip module, which can be printed on a 3D printer or purchased separately. Grip module models have been released for free download at DEFCAD, and can be customized to suit your needs and tastes. To complete the pistol, a 9mm G19 Gen3 slide assembly is installed.

GG3-S is a hardware and firmware upgrade to the original GG3 which unlocks the platform's ability to make more aggressive steel cuts.

GG3 machines without the GG3-S hardware upgrade are recommended to mill low-carbon steel G0̷ chassis, while GG3-S machines with the hardware upgrade can mill a greater range of steel materials. Make sure you run the right code for your machine!

Zero Percent firearms may seem like novel technology, but they’re nothing new, legally speaking. Under federal law, neither the Ghost Gunner CNC mill, nor any of its zero percent fixtures or build kit components can be considered firearms. While some state laws forbid the creation or transfer of homemade firearms, no federal license is required to purchase or begin working with zero percent components.
